Message from the OFRC President, Sharon Bentley...






Amy Ratzlaff, Enid, has been named Administrative Director of the Oklahoma Family Resource Coalition (OFRC). The Coalition is an alliance of child development and parenting professionals dedicated to strengthening and empowering families and communities in order to foster the optimal development of Oklahoma’s children.

Amy and her son Ratzlaff obtained her B.S. in Family Relations and Child Development and M.S. in Child Development from Oklahoma State University. She is a Child Development Specialist and formerly worked for the Tulsa County Health Department. In her position with the Tulsa County Health Department she developed and implemented programs for parents and children, provided individual and family services for parents as well as developmental assessments for children birth -6 years, and developed in-service training in the area of child development and parenting for child care programs. Ratzlaff also taught as an adjunct instructor in the spring of 2007 at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa.

OFRC was established in 1991. Since then members have worked to produce resources, build networks and gather knowledge to help families in the important job of parenting. Each spring, the Oklahoma Family Resource Coalition sponsors a statewide conference f or parent educators. Mrs. Ratzlaff participated from the beginning of this conference and says, “Healthy Families Conference is an exceptional and quality conference, providing nationally recognized speakers who present on a wide variety of topics related to serving Oklahoma families to both child development and parenting professionals. It is great to see representatives from agencies throughout the state of Oklahoma come together working to benefit the families of Oklahoma”.
